Wolfchester Etch Grey Primer Aerosol
The Wolfchester Etch Grey Primer (WCLS500EP) is a high-performance, high-build aerosol primer formulated for professional automotive and industrial surface preparation. Based on a PVB/Epoxy resin system, it delivers outstanding adhesion across a wide range of substrates while offering excellent corrosion protection and a smooth, sandable finish.
Designed for professional use, this etch primer is ideal for repair work on sanded-through areas where high layer thickness is required. Its fast dry time and excellent grindability make it a go-to primer for panel beaters, spray painters, and trade professionals.

Suitable Substrates
Steel, hot-dipped galvanised steel, strip galvanised steel, electro-galvanised steel, aluminium, soft aluminium, polyester, old paint and factory paint.
Note: Not suitable for PE, PP or PP-blend plastics, or thermoplastic paintwork. Always test compatibility on plastics before use.
Directions for Use
- Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from grease, rust and dust
- Shake can vigorously for at least 2 minutes after mixing balls are heard
- Test spray to confirm surface compatibility and colour
- Apply 2–3 coats at 10–15 cm distance, allowing approx. 5 minutes flash-off between coats
- Sand after 45 minutes using P400–P800 (dry) or P800–P1000 (wet)
- After use, invert can and spray to clear nozzle
